As an artist, Barrett has played sold-out shows in Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco, the largest in front of 16,000 people at the legendary Hollywood Bowl where he performed his original symphonic composition “Anahid” on July 29, 2007.
He was the first ever unsigned producer/songwriter/recording artist to chart in the Top 10 on Yahoo! Music with his song “Goodbye Beautiful Day” which he wrote with Douglas Ladnier and performed with his previous band Aviatic.
His music has been praised in several international magazines and newspapers including The Los Angeles Times, Backstage Magazine and The Japan Times; he has been interviewed on NBC’s “Today in L.A.” and on the radio; and his work has been nominated for and has won prestigious awards on both the east and west coasts.
He has scored several films; he is endorsed by Pork Pie Drums; and he has a licensing agreement with MTV for his instrumental music. The song “Coward,” produced by Barrett, won a contest on MTV2 securing the band Art of Chaos an opening slot on the Project Revolution Tour with Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance.
Barrett’s most recent project is his new rock band Lunar Sway . His current projects include: History, Katie Mack, Jennifer Gail, Mallory Trunnel, Adrienne Woods, Michelle Clark, Hooshere, Beat & Path, Strange Day, the feature film “Angels, Devils and Men,” the short film “Held,” “The Kelp Project,” among others.
